In 2019, Elite FX was co-founded by Matt Dalton, Stuart Holmes and Steve Dalton to bring something different to the foreign exchange industry challenging its reputation for complexity and hidden barriers. By 2023, we identified an opportunity to transform the pensions industry. Many of our clients shared concerns around transferring pensions overseas, facing delays, unnecessary costs and confusion throughout the process. What should have been a significant life transition often felt transactional rather than personal, creating stress at a time when clients should be planning their futures with confidence.
We embarked on a mission to remove friction from the pension transfer process and build an experience-led solution for both institutions and clients alike.

Stephen Dalton
Chairman
Steve worked in the corporate arena for 25 years before his entrepreneurial spirit led him into business ownership and investment. He has a proven track record of acquiring, growing and successfully exiting businesses across multiple sectors.
Steve has held board-level positions within a range of companies spanning energy management, sustainability and yacht financial management software. He is also an active investor in start-ups and gains great personal satisfaction from guiding leadership teams to maximise business opportunities and unlock their full potential.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys supporting his local football team, Manchester United, playing golf and, more recently, padel.
Matt Dalton
Co-founder, COO
Matt Dalton is the Co-Founder and COO of Elite FX, with over 10 years of experience working within the foreign exchange and payments industry.
As the operational backbone of the business, Matt oversees trading, compliance, client relationships, financial reporting and the day-to-day delivery of client service excellence at the highest level. With deep expertise in market analysis and FX risk management, he guides clients in making informed and strategic currency decisions.
Outside the office, Matt is a dedicated and disciplined HYROX competitor, a Manchester United supporter, and a loving father and husband.
Stuart Holmes
Co-founder & Head of Sales
Stuart was one of the core original founding team of AFEX (now Corpay) in 2003, leading its growth into a global business with 700 staff, 16 offices and a $24bn turnover before exiting in 2018.
He co-founded Elite FX in 2019 and, by 2023, identified an urgent need to help transform the pensions industry. Frustrated by a process that often felt transactional, stressful and impersonal, Stuart and the Elite FX team set out to remove the friction and build a client-experience-led model that restores confidence in planning for the future.
A father of three, Stuart balances business with extreme challenges, from summiting Kilimanjaro twice and completing the London Marathon to trekking to Everest Base Camp driven by a continual search for meaning beyond the next goal.
Charlie Dewey
Leading Pension Consultant
Charlie Dewey brings 25 years of experience within the SIPP and SSAS sectors of the UK pensions market. He played a pivotal role in developing one of the first SIPP provider solutions, designed to secure the most favourable exchange rates for clients at a cost-effective price prior to confirming transfers to HMRC-recognised overseas pension schemes.
Charlie works closely with UK pension providers, IFAs and clients, maintaining direct communication with receiving overseas pension schemes to help ensure a smooth and transparent transfer process.
Outside of work, Charlie is a keen golfer and values the focus, discipline and precision the game inspires.
Lindsey Bell
Brand and Strategic Growth Consultant
Lindsey blends creative strategy with resilient impact, helping Elite FX shape bold, human-centred brand experiences that drive long-term growth. Coordinating brand strategy, marketing and digital innovation across the business, she plays a key role in aligning the Elite FX ecosystem through authentic storytelling, strategic communication and connected customer experiences.
A world record-breaking adventurer who completed the fastest self-supported hike around Britain’s coastline, with continued exploration of our natural world, Lindsey brings the same determination, storytelling instinct and collaborative spirit to her work. Passionate about building meaningful human connection, she helps shape campaigns, narratives and strategies that inspire trust, energy and lasting impact.
